Dues & Assessments - Inside Construction Agreement

As an Inside Wireman working in the Local Union 46 jurisdiction, the following Working Dues and Assessments are due on the 1st of the month for the previous month and are past due after the 15th of the month.

Dues and Assessments - Inside Construction Agreement

Working Dues Assessment:  One and one-half (1 ½%) percent of gross wages INCLUDING OVERTIME WAGES (less any Variable Annuity Deductions).

Organizing Dues Assessment: Organizing dues, when assessed, will be 1% of total gross wages INCLUDING OVERTIME WAGES (less any Variable Annuity Deductions).

All units employed under construction contracts (Inside Wire, Sound and Communication, Residential, Stockman and Light Fixture Maintenance) will pay organizing dues.

NOTE: Variable Annuity Deductions are only allowed under the Inside Wire, Sound and Communication and Port of Seattle Agreements.


"A" Members working under Construction Wireman and Sound & Communications Agreements

Basic Dues

$26.50 per month

Working Dues Assessment

1.5% of monthly total gross wages (less any Variable Annuity Deductions)

Organizing Dues Assessment

1% of monthly total gross wages (less any Variable Annuity Deductions)

Jury Duty Fund

1.5 x Journey hourly rate for your classification

**Jury Duty Assessment is due once each year in June.  Assessment is one and one-half times the Journey hourly rate for your classification.

Sick Fund

$2.00  per assessment (quarterly or as needed)

1st and 2nd year Apprentices pay as above except for the following:

No basic dues. Local Union fee is $2.50 per month.

Basic dues, Jury Duty and Sick Fund are not due until sworn in.


Dues Example With Variable Annuity Deductions:

180 hours worked for the month (160@regular rate of pay and 20 hours overtime)

160 hrs x $25.00 =

$4,000.00 (straight time wages)

20 hrs x $37.50 =

$750.00 (overtime wages)

Gross Earnings Total:

$4,750.00

Less Annuity 10 hrs x *$1.50 =

($250.00)

Adjusted Gross Earnings =

$4,480.00

$4,480.00 x 1.5% =

$67.20 Working Dues

$4,480.00 x 1% =

$44.80 Organizing Dues

TOTAL DUES =

$112.00

*This amount will vary. Members have different amounts being withheld for Variable Annuity based on classification. Participation on the Variable Annuity Plan requires prior approval by IBEW Local 46.


"A" Members working under Light Fixture Maintenance, Residential, and Stockman Agreements


Basic Dues

$26.50 per month
